What is ultrasonic disinfection?

Ultrasonic disinfection is based on the generation of high-frequency sound waves that create a physical phenomenon known as cavitation. This process forms millions of microbubbles in the liquid, which can be combined with mild disinfecting agents. When they collapse, these bubbles release enough energy to dislodge particles of dirt, grease, oxides, biofilms, chemical residues, and, most importantly, pathogens such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, and spores.

Thanks to this physical principle, ultrasound not only cleans but also disinfects without damaging surfaces, even the most delicate or those with complex geometries.
