Ultrasonic cleaning machines for industrial surfaces and parts
An ultrasonic cleaning machine is a device that uses high-frequency sound waves (ultrasonic waves) to clean a variety of parts and surfaces. It is a widely used tool in different fields such as the manufacturing industry, such as:
- Automotive sector.
- Naval industry.
- Cleaning of molds.
- Degreasing of machined parts.
- Graphic industry. (Anilox roller cleaning)
- Surface treatment.
- Medicine (dental, optics, prosthetics...)
- Paint stripping.
- Descaling
- Cleaning of heat exchangers.
How does an ultrasonic cleaning machine work?
The main component of an ultrasonic cleaning machine is a transducer, which generates high-frequency sound waves generally in the ultrasonic frequency range (20-400 kHz). These sound waves create high-frequency pressure waves in a liquid solution (usually water or a specialized cleaning solution) within the cleaning tank. The rapid alternation between cycles of high and low pressure generated by sound waves causes a phenomenon known as cavitation. During cavitation, small bubbles or cavities form and quickly collapse. This collapse creates intense microscopic cleaning action and high-velocity liquid jets, which help remove contaminants from the surfaces of items placed in the cleaning tank.

What are the advantages of ultrasonic cleaning?
Ultrasonic cleaning offers several advantages, making it an effective and popular technique in various applications. Below are some of the key benefits of ultrasonic cleaning:
- Thorough Cleaning: Ultrasonic cleaning is exceptionally effective at removing dirt, oils, grease, particles and other contaminants, even in hard-to-reach areas or on uneven surfaces.
- No Disassembly Required: You can clean complex objects without disassembling them, saving time and effort compared to manual cleaning methods.
- Minimal Damage: Ultrasonic cleaning is a gentle process compared to abrasive methods, helping to avoid damage to delicate surfaces or fragile parts.
- Reduction of Hazardous Waste: Ultrasonic cleaning often requires less or no use of harsh chemicals, decreasing the generation of hazardous waste.
- Effective at Removing Contaminants: Can remove a wide range of contaminants, including particles, dust, oils, greases, oxides, and welding residues.
- Uniformity in Cleaning: Ultrasonic waves guarantee that cleaning is uniform in all areas of the piece, without leaving untreated areas.
- Time Savings: Ultrasonic cleaning is fast and efficient, reducing the time needed to clean objects compared to manual methods.
- Lower labor costs: By automating the cleaning process, the need for intensive labor is reduced, saving labor costs.
- Eco-friendly: Since fewer chemicals are often required and the technique consumes less water compared to conventional methods, ultrasonic cleaning can be considered more environmentally friendly.
Importantly, the effectiveness of ultrasonic cleaning depends on factors such as the ultrasonic frequency, the temperature of the cleaning fluid, and the appropriate choice of cleaning solution. Therefore, it is essential to follow the manufacturer's recommendations and adapt the process to specific cleaning needs.

Advantages of ultrasonic cleaning equipment DCM Ultrasonic
Acoustic thermal insulation

Prevents heat loss during the operation of our equipment, maintaining the temperature, thus avoiding unnecessary heating and cooling cycles that directly lead to lower electricity consumption and economic savings.
PLC + HMI control system

The equipment has a PLC and an HMI color screen from where you can easily control the entire machine with a very intuitive menu. The equipment has an Ethernet communications port, thus allowing remote monitoring and management of the equipment.
Patented own generator

Thanks to our experience in ultrasound generation, we have developed our own digital and synchronized generator entirely designed and built in Spain. Because we have full control over the generation of ultrasound, this allows us to have a good understanding of the cavitation phenomena that occur in the bath and even modify the waveform to adapt to the special needs of our clients.
Compact size

Our designs are characterized by having a compact size that allows our clients to install the equipment in small cornered areas. Access to maintenance from the front and from only one side allows the installation of the equipment in corners and very close to the walls, thus minimally invading the useful space of our clients' facilities.
Full stainless steel construction

The equipment is made entirely of AISI 304L stainless steel, except for the ultrasonic emitters, which are made of AISI 316L stainless steel. The thickness of the tank and the ultrasonic emitters has been carefully selected to ensure a long useful life and obtain the best possible resonance of the system, thus achieving a performance close to 98%, which means that all the electrical energy used to generate the ultrasounds It is mechanically delivered to the tank, thus reducing energy losses in the form of heat.
Oil separation

Composed of a recirculation pump with a stainless steel body and an auxiliary tank that acts as a decanter. The pump has a Roten 3 type mechanical seal made of tungsten carbide and Viton seals, thus preventing premature breakage of the seal due to the use of aggressive detergents. Oil separation extends the life of the bath and prevents parts from getting dirty when removed from the bath.
Noise reduction system

Thanks to our noise reduction system, the sound pressure level is reduced to below 78db even at low frequencies such as 28kHz, allowing the use of the machine without the need for personal hearing protection equipment.
Daily ECO mode

The daily ECO mode allows you to save energy by keeping the machine at the desired temperature at night or on weekends, thus avoiding a drop in temperature and subsequent energy expenditure to once again reach the desired working temperature.
DWS Double Welding System

All our tanks are completely welded on the perimeter, both inside and outside, thus ensuring a completely watertight joint at any point of the tank and doubling the safety against future leaks due to the continuous micro erosion produced by ultrasound in the tank, which translates into a tank life of more than 20 years.
Own technical service

At DCM ultrasonic we have our own technical service, capable of resolving any incident with a response time of maximum 48 hours. Thanks to our technical service, our clients' production chain is minimally affected by a breakdown. We have any spare part for our equipment in permanent stock.
V-shaped tank bottom

All tanks have a V-shaped bottom that makes tank cleaning easier and prevents sludge buildup on the bottom that causes premature tank deterioration.
Integrated electrical panel

The electrical panel is integrated inside the tank, making it very compact. The electrical panel is easily accessible from the outside from the front through removable guides, thus facilitating maintenance operations and allowing the tank to be installed very close to the walls.
Lateral electrical resistances

The electrical resistances are located on the side of the tank at a sufficient height to prevent the sludge that accumulates at the bottom from coming into contact with them, thus preventing their deterioration, increasing their useful life and performance.
Integrated beacon

All our equipment has a configurable and integrated beacon light, thus making it easier for the user to know the status of the machine from a distance with a simple glance. We can quickly identify the states of preparedness, care, work or emergency by means of their color code.
Modular emitters

Our equipment has a modular system of ultrasonic emitters, so that, unlike other manufacturers, in the event of a module breakage, the machine continues to maintain its functionality until the module is replaced.
Heavy Duty Design

Our largest capacity tanks are specially built for Heavy Duty industrial use, being the tanks with the highest load capacity on the market, satisfying the extreme needs of our customers.
