Industrial cleaning

An ultrasonic cleaning machine is a device that uses high-frequency sound waves (ultrasonic waves) to clean a variety of parts and surfaces. It is a widely used tool in different fields such as the manufacturing industry, such as:
  • Automotive sector.
  • Naval industry.
  • Cleaning of molds.
  • Degreasing of machined parts.
  • Graphic industry. (Anilox roller cleaning)
  • Surface treatment.
  • Medicine (dental, optics, prosthetics...)
  • Paint stripping.
  • Descaling
How does an ultrasonic cleaning machine work?

The main component of an ultrasonic cleaning machine is a transducer, which generates high-frequency sound waves generally in the ultrasonic frequency range (20-400 kHz). These sound waves create high-frequency pressure waves in a liquid solution (usually water or a specialized cleaning solution) within the cleaning tank. The rapid alternation between cycles of high and low pressure generated by sound waves causes a phenomenon known as cavitation. During cavitation, small bubbles or cavities form and quickly collapse. This collapse creates intense microscopic cleaning action and high-velocity liquid jets, which help remove contaminants from the surfaces of items placed in the cleaning tank.

What are the advantages of ultrasonic cleaning?

Ultrasonic cleaning offers several advantages, making it an effective and popular technique in various applications. Below are some of the key benefits of ultrasonic cleaning:
  • Thorough Cleaning: Ultrasonic cleaning is exceptionally effective at removing dirt, oils, grease, particles and other contaminants, even in hard-to-reach areas or on uneven surfaces.
  • No Disassembly Required: You can clean complex objects without disassembling them, saving time and effort compared to manual cleaning methods.
  • Minimal Damage: Ultrasonic cleaning is a gentle process compared to abrasive methods, helping to avoid damage to delicate surfaces or fragile parts.
  • Reduction of Hazardous Waste: Ultrasonic cleaning often requires less or no use of harsh chemicals, decreasing the generation of hazardous waste.
  • Effective at Removing Contaminants: Can remove a wide range of contaminants, including particles, dust, oils, greases, oxides, and welding residues.
  • Uniformity in Cleaning: Ultrasonic waves guarantee that cleaning is uniform in all areas of the piece, without leaving untreated areas.
  • Time Savings: Ultrasonic cleaning is fast and efficient, reducing the time needed to clean objects compared to manual methods.
  • Lower labor costs: By automating the cleaning process, the need for intensive labor is reduced, saving labor costs.
  • Eco-friendly: Since fewer chemicals are often required and the technique consumes less water compared to conventional methods, ultrasonic cleaning can be considered more environmentally friendly.
Importantly, the effectiveness of ultrasonic cleaning depends on factors such as the ultrasonic frequency, the temperature of the cleaning fluid, and the appropriate choice of cleaning solution. Therefore, it is essential to follow the manufacturer's recommendations and adapt the process to specific cleaning needs.

At DCM ultrasonic, we can help you choose the right product according to our client's needs.

Acoustic thermal insulation

Acoustic thermal insulation
Prevents heat loss during the operation of our equipment, maintaining the temperature, thus avoiding unnecessary heating and cooling cycles that directly lead to lower electricity consumption and economic savings.

PLC + HMI control system

PLC + HMI control system
The equipment has a PLC and an HMI color screen from where you can easily control the entire machine with a very intuitive menu. The equipment has an Ethernet communications port, thus allowing remote monitoring and management of the equipment.

Patented own generator

 Patented own generator
Thanks to our experience in ultrasound generation, we have developed our own digital and synchronized generator entirely designed and built in Spain. Because we have full control over the generation of ultrasound, this allows us to have a good understanding of the cavitation phenomena that occur in the bath and even modify the waveform to adapt to the special needs of our clients.

Compact size

Compact size
Our designs are characterized by having a compact size that allows our clients to install the equipment in small cornered areas. Access to maintenance from the front and from only one side allows the installation of the equipment in corners and very close to the walls, thus minimally invading the useful space of our clients' facilities.

Full stainless steel construction

 Full stainless steel construction
The equipment is made entirely of AISI 304L stainless steel, except for the ultrasonic emitters, which are made of AISI 316L stainless steel. The thickness of the tank and the ultrasonic emitters has been carefully selected to ensure a long useful life and obtain the best possible resonance of the system, thus achieving a performance close to 98%, which means that all the electrical energy used to generate the ultrasounds It is mechanically delivered to the tank, thus reducing energy losses in the form of heat.

Oil separation

Oil separation
Composed of a recirculation pump with a stainless steel body and an auxiliary tank that acts as a decanter. The pump has a Roten 3 type mechanical seal made of tungsten carbide and Viton seals, thus preventing premature breakage of the seal due to the use of aggressive detergents. Oil separation extends the life of the bath and prevents parts from getting dirty when removed from the bath.

Noise reduction system

Noise reduction system
Thanks to our noise reduction system, the sound pressure level is reduced to below 78db even at low frequencies such as 28kHz, allowing the use of the machine without the need for personal hearing protection equipment.

Daily ECO mode

Daily ECO mode
The daily ECO mode allows you to save energy by keeping the machine at the desired temperature at night or on weekends, thus avoiding a drop in temperature and subsequent energy expenditure to once again reach the desired working temperature.

DWS Double Welding System

DWS Double Welding System
All our tanks are completely welded on the perimeter, both inside and outside, thus ensuring a completely watertight joint at any point of the tank and doubling the safety against future leaks due to the continuous micro erosion produced by ultrasound in the tank, which translates into a tank life of more than 20 years.

Own technical service

 Own technical service
At DCM ultrasonic we have our own technical service, capable of resolving any incident with a response time of maximum 48 hours. Thanks to our technical service, our clients' production chain is minimally affected by a breakdown. We have any spare part for our equipment in permanent stock.

V-shaped tank bottom

V-shaped tank bottom
All tanks have a V-shaped bottom that makes tank cleaning easier and prevents sludge buildup on the bottom that causes premature tank deterioration.

Integrated electrical panel

Integrated electrical panel
The electrical panel is integrated inside the tank, making it very compact. The electrical panel is easily accessible from the outside from the front through removable guides, thus facilitating maintenance operations and allowing the tank to be installed very close to the walls.

Lateral electrical resistances

Lateral electrical resistances
The electrical resistances are located on the side of the tank at a sufficient height to prevent the sludge that accumulates at the bottom from coming into contact with them, thus preventing their deterioration, increasing their useful life and performance.

Integrated beacon

Integrated beacon
All our equipment has a configurable and integrated beacon light, thus making it easier for the user to know the status of the machine from a distance with a simple glance. We can quickly identify the states of preparedness, care, work or emergency by means of their color code.

Modular emitters

Modular emitters
Our equipment has a modular system of ultrasonic emitters, so that, unlike other manufacturers, in the event of a module breakage, the machine continues to maintain its functionality until the module is replaced.

UCM 200DL

UCM 200DL

UCM 200DL
Our UCM 200DL equipment is designed for use in cleaning, degreasing, decarbonization and parts stripping processes. It is equipped with a pneumatic parts loading and unloading system with a lifting capacity of 80 kg. In static mode it is possible to use it in its lowest position with loads of up to 175 kg. It has an oil separation system composed of a pump that is responsible for recirculating the water from the auxiliary tank to the main tank, eliminating remains of oil and dirt from the surface of the tank, preventing the parts from staining when removed. This auxiliary tank in turn has the function of absorbing all the water displaced by the piece to be cleaned when introduced into the main tank. It has a power/liter ratio of 8.4W/l which, together with the study of the geometry of the tank and the position of the emitters, makes it the most efficient machine on the market in its category. The equipment is entirely built in AISI 304 stainless steel except for the ultrasonic emitters, which are made in AISI 316. The equipment has thermal-acoustic insulation that prevents heat loss through radiation and maintains the tank temperature, reducing electrical consumption while reducing the sound level to below 78db, thus avoiding the mandatory use of hearing protection. Interaction with the user is carried out using a 7" color touch panel that allows the use of the equipment in an easy and intuitive way. Given its small dimensions, it is ideal for those workshops that do not have much free space; access to maintenance is restricted to the sides, which allows the equipment to be installed very close to the walls. Its main uses are: Engine cleaning. Degrease. Pickling. Decarbonized

UCM 350DL

UCM 350DL
The UCM 350DL equipment is intended to be used mainly in cleaning processes, carbon removal, paint removal and parts degreasing. It has a pneumatic lift with a load capacity of 275kg at a pressure of 7 bars that facilitates the tasks of loading and unloading parts. In addition, the lift facilitates the removal of dirt from the parts to be cleaned thanks to the back and forth movement that favors the circulation of liquid through the cavities that are most difficult to access. The equipment is prepared to withstand static loads of up to 550kg. It has a removable electrical panel using guides located in the lower part of the tank. This peculiarity makes the UCM 350DL equipment an ultra-compact and versatile equipment since it can be installed completely attached to the wall, saving space in the customer's installation. Like the rest of the range, it has an oil separation system formed by a pump that moves the cleaning solution from the auxiliary tank to the main tank, decanting the remains of oil from the main tank to the auxiliary tank. Thanks to this process, the parts are prevented from getting dirty when they leave the tank. The digital and synchronized ultrasound generator is responsible for producing the cavitation phenomenon in the tank, responsible for removing dirt from the surface of the pieces to be treated. The equipment is both thermally and acoustically insulated, which reduces energy consumption and reduces the sound pressure level to below 78db, allowing its use without the need for hearing protection. Our clients use this equipment mainly in: Engine rebuilding. Degreasing of machined parts. Paint removal. Preparation of surfaces for subsequent chrome plating.

UCM 500DL
The UCM 500DL ultrasonic cleaning equipment is commonly used in cleaning and decarbonization processes in the automotive sector. Due to its size, it is ideal for small mechanical workshops and grinding workshops where cylinder heads and 2,000cc engine blocks can be cleaned without any problem. The loading and unloading of the pieces is carried out very easily thanks to its pneumatic lift capable of lifting up to 275kg of weight dynamically at a pressure of 7 bars. If a larger load is required, pieces weighing up to 550kg can be statically loaded without risk of damaging the equipment. It has a removable electrical panel that facilitates maintenance tasks while allowing the equipment to be installed in a corner, taking up as little space as possible. Thanks to its double-layer insulation system, we manage to maintain the temperature of the bathroom with hardly any energy input, which translates into energy savings, cost savings and a reduction in the carbon footprint. All equipment in the range comes equipped with an oil separator that can optionally be automatic, synchronized digital generators for generating ultrasound and an integrated light beacon that keeps the customer informed at all times of the status of the equipment. The equipment has an Ethernet connection for remote data acquisition, control and monitoring. The main uses of this equipment are: Engine rebuilding. Preparation of engine components for reception by the end customer. Decarbonization. Degreasing. Pickling. Elimination of corrosion. In the food industry it is used to clean filters, exchangers and transport elements.

Our standard DL (Dynamic Loading) range has a pneumatic lifting platform with a load capacity of up to 1000kg or hydraulic when the load exceeds 1000kg. The elevator has three main functions: Help with loading and unloading the parts to be cleaned. Help cleaning in hard-to-reach areas by producing a slight movement of the fluid that helps eliminate loose remains of dirt. Prevent the action of the ultrasound from concentrating on one point and thus prevent marking of the parts to be cleaned when they are made of soft metals such as aluminum or zamak. Synchronized digital generators, at DCM Ultrasonic we have developed our own synchronized digital generator with a working frequency from 24 to 40kHz, thus allowing us to select the best frequency depending on the use. Our generator is the result of more than 10 years of experience in ultrasonic cleaning, seeing the needs of our clients every day. PZT4 piezoelectric transducers, made in Japan carefully selected to offer the highest possible performance. There are many manufacturers and models of piezoelectric transducers on the market, but not all of them behave in the same way. At DCM Ultrasonic we carried out a study with more than 15 different models until we found the one that offered the highest performance in combination with our generator. This has allowed us to obtain very high cavitation levels with very low consumption. Thermal acoustic insulation, which prevents heat loss during the operation of our equipment, maintaining the temperature, thus avoiding unnecessary heating and cooling cycles that directly lead to lower electricity consumption and economic savings. Control system with PLC and HMI, the equipment has a PLC and an HMI color screen from where you can easily control the entire machine with a very intuitive menu. The equipment has an Ethernet communications port, thus allowing remote monitoring and management of the equipment. Complete construction in stainless steel, the equipment is built entirely in AISI 304L stainless steel with the exception of the ultrasonic emitters which are made of AISI 316L stainless steel. The thickness of the tank and the ultrasonic emitters have been carefully selected to ensure a long useful life and obtain the best possible resonance of the system, thus achieving a performance close to 98%, which means that all the electrical energy used to generate the Ultrasound is delivered mechanically to the tank, thus reducing energy losses in the form of heat.

UCM 1000DL
The UCM 1000DL equipment is characterized by its high load capacity, as it has a pneumatic lift capable of lifting 825 kg dynamically, which greatly facilitates the tasks of loading and unloading parts. In addition, it has a back-and-forth system that keeps the pieces in continuous movement while they are cleaned. This is especially important when the material to be cleaned is especially soft, such as aluminum, zamak, etc., to prevent them from being marked by the action. continuous ultrasound in the same area. The machine is designed to withstand static loads of up to 1650 kg, which gives it great versatility and makes it ideal for workshops where heavy loads are worked. The equipment is equipped with a synchronized digital generator that ensures maximum performance of the machine since all the ultrasonic emitters work completely synchronized, thus avoiding the appearance of destructive waves in the bath that reduce the performance of the equipment. Thanks to its double-layer acoustic thermal insulation we ensure a sound pressure level of less than 78db, which allows the use of the equipment without the need for hearing protection. The thermal insulator is capable of maintaining the temperature of the tank for hours without loss, which allows great cost savings by not having to activate the electric heating to maintain the temperature. The UCM 1000DL model has a PLC and HMI that facilitates the use and programming of the equipment in a simple and intuitive way. It has an Ethernet connection that allows you to monitor the equipment and operate it remotely. Its construction is made of stainless steel, giving it a long useful life, preventing deterioration over time due to corrosion.
